Web Developer
Small, fast-paced web technology firm seeks an experienced,
detail-oriented, and creative web developer / programmer to develop and
support the firm's client projects, web-oriented / database-centric efforts,
and ecommerce driven solutions.
The responsibilities of the web developer / programmer
include:
- Work with internal resources to define and document
project goals, timelines, information architecture
and specific technical and functional requirements
- Recommend the appropriate programming languages, server technologies,
hosting strategies, etc. to
maximize flexibility, reliability and system performance.
- Develop and support web-based applications ranging from marketing sites to
database-backed
websites / customer portals for use by internal and external resources
- Create enterprise-level content management systems for high-end clients
- Review, analyze, and modify web systems including documenting, designing,
developing, testing,
monitoring, and maintaining as required
- Migrate information from existing web systems and client/server database
applications to newly created
applications
- Provide management and other team members with frequent updates
- Process and support multiple projects simultaneously as directed by
management
- Participate in company meetings concerning projects and initiatives
Required Technical Experience:
- PHP
- MySQL
- JavaScript , JSP
- CMS
- CSS
- ASP.net
- Joomla, Word Press, Drupal
- Ecommerce storefront applications
- XML, XML Schemas
- Video Streaming (A Plus)
- Flash Action Script (A Plus)
- PHP Specific Strengths, Classes & Objects (both PHP4 & PHP5 models)
- Web Application Development
- User-Centered Design Philosophy + Usability
The web developer / programmer should have extensive experience creating
professional, aesthetically pleasing, reliable, and well documented
applications using industry best practices.
